Fenrir, his concentration broken, considered his options whilst his bow was still armed and aimed at the lead horseman. He could potentially take a couple of the horsemen in a fair fight, however the odds of winning four against one was highly improbable especially when you factor in their horses. Even if Fenrir managed to dispatch the horsemen there was no guarantee that the villages, who seemed to recognise and fear the horsemen's insignia, would side with him. He could not fight a whole village and didn't want to, especially after their generous hospitality. He couldn't bring more trouble to this village than he already had.

The other thought that crossed Fenrir's mind was the safety of his home town, Sylvas. Even though Sylvas had ample supplies and enough scouts to foresee any trouble before the town and its people were put in too much danger, Fenrir still felt that he had to protect them from whoever these people were. Nissa's face flashed through his mind, he could not endanger her. He would die if anything happened to her.

Fenrir lowered his bow, however he did not move from his defensive stance and looked intently at the horsemen wondering what they would do next. If need be he would fight them, no matter what the odds. Fenrir breathed and calmed himself. The protective barrier shrank but did not disappear completely, it clung to Fenrir like an extra layer of skin.

I am sorry sir, but whatever you are looking for noone here knows anyting about. I for one never leave this village and news travels very fast so. Do you seriously think that we klnow anything? You have been galavanting all over, disrupting our peace, and noone has said a thing. Yes some may be afraid but someone would have said something by now."

Looking towards the 4 horsemen, he lstops at each one, taking in their prescence. For some reason the last one, yet the closest to him seemed to give off a strange vibe but not wanting to cause any further incidents he continues

"Now please, I wish you to leave here, there is nothing you can gain staying here any longer..."

Btting in at the last second, the owner of the tavern strides out and with his gruff booming voice adds

"Unless of course you fine gents fancy some drinks before you head off? Come now, you must be parched from your journey, a mere drink won't cause much harm now will it?"

With that, he places his arms around the neck of the lead horseman in a friendly manner and takes him in the direction of the tavern.

Fenrir, moving out of the way of the tavern entrance, disarmed his bow and slung it across his back. He avoided the eyes of all of the horsemen, instead a glare from the village chief told him that he had caused unwanted trouble. It looks like I may have outstayed my welcome Fenrir thought to himself. The discontented villagers began to disperse back to their daily activities, some hobbled home to nurse their wounds. Fenrir slowly wandered round to a small lean to, that served as a washing area, at the back of the tavern. His body was tense and alert, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was still being watched. When Fenrir turned round to check he could see no one, even the village chief had returned to his house.

Sighing, Fenrir entered the open door lean to. Towards the back of the lean to was screen that hid a tub and a pump. Fenrir pumped so cold clear water into the tub and splashed his face, the icy cold water forced Fenrir to be more awake and alert than before. He let the water run off his face and over his clothes, they would dry within a few hours travelling Fenrir thought as he stared at his reflection in the water.

Fenrir's stomach growled loudly, it suddenly occurred to Fenrir that he hadn't eaten since last night. He left the lean to and entered the tavern resolving to leave before sunset on that evening. Fenrir carefully chose where he sat, he tried to distance himself as much as he could from the horsemen. He glanched over at Kyte who was busy behind the bar. He turned his thoughts back to travelling, where was he to go next? Fenrir had no idea where Draconia was, let alone how to get there. He decided he would try to contact Nissa for some advice before he left in the evening.

A middle aged waiter notices the hungry elf gazing towards the bar. He swore as he realised the elf was the same elf that had caused the situation in the town square to get considerably worse. I hope this doesn't bring me any trouble, but I need the money He thought to himself.

Reluctantly he walked across to the elf and took his order, not even bothering to write the order down the waiter hastily brought the elf his food and ale. The waiter retreated to the kitchen where he busied himself with his other duties. When he eventually reappeared in the main hall, some 30 minutes later, the elf had disappeared from his seat in the corner. Good riddance the waiter thought, relieved that the elf had caused him no trouble. Wiping his hands on his apron the waiter went back to his duties.

Fully aware of the scowls and glares Fenrir was receiving from the villagers and his growing hunger he wolfed down his meal, which now he presumed could be called lunch. Upon finishing he got up and took his plate and mug over to the bar where he received a cold welcome from an unhappy bar tender. He paid his bill and hastily returned to the room he had hired for the night.

Sighing, as the feeling of tension grew within Fenrir, he realised that there would be no time to try and contact Nissa here. Even if he was able to successfully work the cards, he would need complete focus to even begin any magical procedure. Fenrir had never had an aptitude for magic, that was always Nissa's speciality. Fenrir's own skills lay in other areas such as archery, tracking, and hunting. Fenrir's mind pondered this for a few moments and wandered whether he could class his spectral skills, few as they were, as magic. This was a question, however, that Fenrir had no means of answering and eventually gave up on the idea.

Fenrir, pulling the cards from his sash, absent mindedly spread them out over the moss covered bed so he could view all of the cards at the same time. This, however, yielded no further clarity to the cards meaning. The glyphs and inscriptions became unintelligible scribbles that seemed to dance in front of Fenrir's eyes, causing his head to spin. The glyphs began to grow, as they began to shine brighter a wave of dizziness swept over Fenrir and he fell back from his sitting position on the bed causing the cards to jump up a few inches into the air. The glyphs had stopped glowing by the time the cards hit the grassy mattress of the bed.

Once he had his senses back Fenrir wondered what had just happened. His body felt slightly weak and shaky as he got up. Time to leave Fenrir thought to himself and began to gather his things.

As Fenrir gathers his belongings, a small note is slipped under the doorway.

After gathering his things and with a quick look back Fenrir left the room and made his way out of the tavern via the back entrance. This will probably be safer Fenrir thought to himself as he came down the stairs and headed out the back door. Fenrir began to think where he should go to next, he wished that he had more guidance about how to get to Draconia. In the courtyard at the back of the tavern Fenrir glanced up at the bright early afternoon sky.

"A good day for travelling" Fenrir muttered to himself, oblivious to everything else around him.

Inside the tavern the gruff tavern owner notices Kyte slacking in one of the corridors towards the rear of the tavern.

"What are you doing boy?" He said angrily. "there's hungry and thirsty people out there." The tavern owner, now red faced, pointed back to the tavern hall.

The tavern owner follow Kyte's gaze out the window to the courtyard, "Good riddance to that troublesome elf." He announced while boring his eyes into Kyte.

Looking back towards the elf, the tavern owner notices a familiar figure running after him

"What the...?!? No...it can't be..."

Looking back towards the figure of Kytes before him, it flickers for a while and soon dissipates before his very eyes.

"When the frack did that little punk learn to do THAT kinda illusion..."

His face starting to turn an awful shade of red, he clentches his fists, storms towards the bar, grabs a plate and hurls it in the direction of Kytes with quite some force.

"AND IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN IM GONNA LET YOU HAVE IT YOU LITTLE INGRATE!!!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!"

The plate slices into the ground a little way off from Kytes position before eventually bouncing up and smashing on a nearby tree.

The sounds of Kyte yelling something and a plate smashing against a nearby tree forced Fenrir back to reality, he looked back to see Kyte and Pip running as fast as they could. Behind them the tavern owner, red faced and fuming, was shaking his fist in the air and shouting obscenities towards the escaping elf. As Kyte neared Fenrir had the compulsion to run with him, Fenrir knew that he'd probably be blamed for this and if he stuck around the already hostile villagers could get violent. Keeping pace with Kyte Fenrir ran westward along the only road out of the village that didn't lead to the forest.

It wasn't long before the small village faded away and was replaced by vast fields, which the village used to supply themselves with various crops, meat and other produce. Sensing that it wasn't safe to stop the group kept running until they were completely out of breath. Fenrir leant against a fairly large uninteresting borderstone on the furthest outskirts of the village's fields.

Fenrir, still trying to catch his breath, turned to Kyte. "What was all that about?"

Collapsing into the grass next to Fenrir, all Kytes can muster is laughter. Continuous, childish laughter that seems to fill his entire body with relief.

Calming down after a while he just lies there, staring into the clear blue sky watching the birds pass

"You know....I always wanted to leave there....mother would have never left me there..."

Thinking of time gone by, memories flood over Kytes, some happy, some sad, but all seem to revolve around the two people he holds dear. Looking over towards Fenrir he smiles

"Just a small family thing going on is all, care if I join ya?"

With that he gives a cheeky grin and a childish wink towards Fenrir

Fenrir, looking puzzled by Kyte's sudden outburst of laughter, eagerly listens to Kyte. Still not entirely sure what had happened back in the village, Fenrir pondered Kyte's proposal. 'On the one hand I hardly know him but on the other it certainly would be nice to have the company' Fenrir rationalised as he studied Kyte.

Getting up, Fenrir held out his hand to help Kyte up. "It would be great if you came along, though I'm not entirely sure where we're going exactly."

Taking his hand, Kytes gets back up and dusts himself off. Pip, meandering about till this point, notices Kytes movements and rushes up his leg towards his head for the perfect view.

"Well, anyplace is as good as any I suppose. Hmm....."

Spinning around on the spot, arms outstretched, he eventually stops and points towards the west

"Why not this way?"

Fenrir, although slightly amused, felt dizzy watching Kyte spin in circles. Shaking off the dizziness Fenrir follows the direction of Kyte's outstretched arm.

"Seems as good a direction as any, either way we can't go the way we came." Fenrir pondered aloud.

Fenrir faced west and crouched down. Closing his eyes and putting his palm to the dusty dirt track Fenrir concentrated on the natural flow of energy. Within a few seconds Fenrir's fingers began to tingle as Fenrir connected with the flow of natural energy. An image of water briefly flashed in his mind. This was not magic, though some people may call it that. Connecting with the flow of natural energy is something that all elves in Sylvas are taught to do, this allows the elves to attune with and revere Nature.

Fenrir slowly opened his eyes, "There's water in that direction, a vast amount but it doesn't feel like the ocean. It's calmer and more peaceful."

From the bushes nearby, a small, blue rabbit looknig creature pops its small head and stares blankly at Fenrir. Grabbing a nearby stick, it twirls it for a second, bows and hurls it towards the tree and runs away.

Staring intently at the strange creature Kytes murmurs

"I want one..."

to noone in particular. Hearing this, Pip becomes rather uppity and claws a little at Kytes head

"Owowowowow....HEY!!!"

Looking down towards Kytes with hwat can only be described as squirrely wrath, he turns his back on him...which is rather hard to do, especially if your ontop of someones head.

Looking back towards Fenrir he starts walking

"Water sounds good to me."

Fenrir smiles at Kyte's light heartedness as Kyte and Pip play fight. With one glance back at the forest he was leaving behind Fenrir sighed, Take care of yourself Nissa, Fenrir thinks as though speaking to Nissa directly. A moment later Fenrir began to follow Kyte along the dusty path to an unknown location, breaking into a half jog to catch up. The water Fenrir had sensed wasn't too far away, but it was at least a day's walk he estimated.

"I'm amazed how carefree you are, especially when nothing is defined." Fenrir said as he caught up with Kyte.

"Why worry, life is meant to be lived."

Continuing down the track, the sky seems to darken slightly as evening rolls in

"True enough" Fenrir replied while pondering the Kyte's words, at the same time he couldn't stop worrying about things.

Despite the dimming light the pair kept walking, Fenrir could feel that it wasn't far to go now. Fenrir knew in the back of his mind that they would have to find shelter before night fall, even then they were still at risk from spectres. They would have to set up camp somewhere before too long.

During their walk the scenery of the land hadn't changed much. There was the occasional incline or decline, but mainly fields covered the lands. Due to the agricultural nature of these fields there was barely any trees in sight. Fenrir thought it strange that they had seen no one since the village, especially in the fields. It was an eerie silence to Fenrir who was to the vibrant sounds of the forest.

after walking out into the village from the forest Coldon and Riceus look at the map and look for the three shops.

"right then Riceus we have 3 shops to go to Leons cheeses, Groves General Stores and Hiveys wares i hope they are still open it is quite late"
Coldon says to his companion

Riceus looks a little puzzeled at the map trying to work out the shops to the map

Coldon looks at Riceus " I see u are as confused as i am i think we better ask someone for some to help us "

Coldon looks around at the deserted street and wanders off in what he thinks is the right direction

As Coldon walks in, an over enthusiastic man runs straight towards him, stopping 3 inches from his face. With a wide eyed grin he looks expectantly at the potential new customer

"Hello! How are you? I am fine thanks! Anything you need? Yes? Oh goody! Where shall we begin?"

As the barrage of questions and answers com out, he looks even more enthusiastic than he was 5 seconds ago
